Evaluation of the Belgian Approach to Fragility in international development cooperation

This evaluation concerns the Belgian approach to fragility within development cooperation. In general, external evaluation strengthens accountability (reporting on the use of public resources) and enables lessons to be learned about what works and what does not, in order to improve Belgian development cooperation and support decision-making.

End-term evaluation of 15 outcomes of the 2017-2021 DGD-funded program implemented by Broederlijk Delen and Studio Globo

The common programme of BD and SG, accommodated in the partnership Komyuniti contains 15 outcomes, including 12 coutcomes corresponding to a country-level programme: Israel/Palestine, Senegal, Congo, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Guatemala, Haiti, Colombia, Peru and Bolivia; and 3 outcomes in Belgium focusing on education, awareness raising and motivating for action, and political work and advocacy.

Midterm external evaluation and final external evaluation of the Memisa - MSV 2017-2021 programme in Burundi and DRC

Conducting the mid-term and final evaluations of the joint programme of Memisa and MSV

• Desk study – document review
• Field visits (DRC and Burundi) in 2019 and in 2021
• Consultation of internal and external stakeholders through individual and grouped interviews as well as focus groups
• Analyse ToC and suggest recommendations for adaptations
• Draft findings and conclusions of the evaluation and develop recommendations for the next phase of the programme (mid-term evaluation) and for the next programme (final evaluation).
• Present and discuss the draft report and produce final report.
