Institutional and Organisational assessments of 4 organisations in RDC: SENAREC, Caritas Bunia, Pathfinder International and CHRISTIAN AID

Conducting an institutional and organizational assessment of 4 partner organizations of the Belgian Development Agency, Enabel, in DRC.

This assessment of SENAREC, Caritas Bunia, Pathfinder International and CHRISTIAN AID focused on the institutional context, financial management, procurement, overall governance systems, and capacity to implement project roles to be funded through a grant by Enabel. The assignment also included advice concerning further institutional and organizational development of the 4 organisaties and strategic advice for project implementation.

SENAREC, the National Secretariat for Capacity Building is a public agency under the Ministry of Planning of the DRC. The assessment was conducted in view of involving SENAREC as a technical and implementing partner of institutional strengthening projects of Enabel at provincial and central level in DRC.

The assessment of 1 large national NGO (Caritas Bunia) and 2 large international NGOs (Pathfinder International and CHRISTIAN AID) was conducted in view of project implementation roles (to be funded by a grant to these organizations) for the UPEG Program (United for Gender Equality) funded by the European Union and implemented by Enabel in Ituri, Kasaï and Sud-Kivu provinces in DRC.
