Monitoring & reporting in 2022 and 2023 for DISCO (Dutch Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa) and Beyond Chocolate (the Belgian Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa)

For this mission, the data reported by partners of DISCO (the Dutch Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa) for 2020 and 2021, and data from partners of Beyond Chocolate for 2021, were cleaned. For Beyond Chocolate, in the 2021 period, the partner data were aggregated and analyzed. Furthermore, support was offered to the Beyond Chocolate secretariat in defining the structure and content of the 2021 report and how to describe it in a proposal. The preliminary Beyond Chocolate report for 2021 was then reviewed. For DISCO, data of the partners for the period of 2020-2021 were analyzed and incorporated into the feedback from the steering committee. Support was likewise offered to the DISCO secretariate when describing the proposal, and a review was done of the preliminary DISCO reports for 2020-2021. For the 2023 monitoring round (2022 data) both Beyond Chocolate and DISCO were supported for updating the questionnaire / data collection tool and for data analysis and reporting.
